Sinds onze start als kunstuitleen in 1971 werken we vanuit één overtuiging: kunst is er voor iedereen. We kijken daarom niet alleen naar gevestigde namen, maar juist ook naar nieuwe makers en kunstenaars met een uitgesproken eigen beeldtaal. Voor Art The Hague brengen we verschillende generaties en disciplines samen: van schilderkunst en fotografie tot sculptuur, keramiek en textiel. Het is een presentatie zonder vaste signatuur, maar met ruimte voor nieuwsgierigheid, kwaliteit en ontdekking.
Audrey Angel – Frankrijk
Audrey Angel is een Franse multidisciplinaire kunstenaar en fotograaf, geboren in 1969 in Thonon-les-Bains. Vanuit haar achtergrond in toegepaste kunst en interieurarchitectuur werkt ze met fotografie, schilderkunst en design. In haar werk creëert ze zorgvuldig geënsceneerde werelden waarin miniatuurfiguren de hoofdrol spelen. Deze kleine personages vertellen verhalen over menselijke relaties, keuzes en het leven. Haar fotografische tableaux combineren een speelse, bijna filmische beeldtaal met aandacht voor detail. Woorden, emoties en korte verhalen voegen een extra laag toe aan elke compositie en nodigen de kijker uit om beter te kijken en een eigen interpretatie te ontdekken.
Roos van Unen – Nederland
Keramiek speelt een belangrijke rol in het werk van Roos van Unen. Via materie onderzoekt Van Unen hoe we persoonlijke en collectieve herinneringen vastleggen. De werken bewegen zich tussen abstractie en herkenbare figuratie, waarbij terugkerende karakters zoals konijnen een belangrijke rol spelen. Haar werk presenteert zich als archeologische en droomachtige entiteiten. Daarmee stelt Van Unen lineaire opvattingen van geschiedenis en collectieve mythes ter discussie. Roos van Unen is recent afgestudeerd aan de Gerrit Rietveld Academie en haar werk is geselecteerd voor Sprouts Young Talents 2026.
Always Around – Nederland
Sanne Willemsen en Jasmijn Alles zijn de makers achter Always Around, een designstudio die ze in 2025 oprichtten vanuit een gedeelde fascinatie voor vorm, kleur en de objecten die ons dagelijks leven vormgeven. Sanne brengt haar achtergrond als interieurontwerper mee, met oog voor detail, materiaal en beeld. Jasmijn werkt conceptueel en denkt vanuit idee naar object. Samen ontwerpen ze tijdloze gebruiksvoorwerpen voor in huis, met heldere vormen, grafische details en een herkenbaar kleurgebruik. Naast Always Around runnen Sanne en Jasmijn ook ko-lab, een creatieve studio voor merkidentiteit, productontwerp en art direction.
Maas van Duijnhoven – Nederland
Maas van Duijnhoven (2003) studeerde in 2024 af aan de Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam. Al sinds zijn jeugd zoekt hij naar bijzondere vondsten op straat, in de natuur en op het strand. Deze fascinatie vormt de basis van zijn artistieke praktijk. In zijn serie The Findlings combineert hij gevonden voorwerpen uit eenzelfde omgeving tot nieuwe sculpturen. Zo geeft hij alledaagse en afgedankte materialen een nieuwe betekenis. Verzamelen, spelen en verwondering spelen een belangrijke rol in zijn werk.
Kadae – Nederland
Kadae is een Nederlandse kunstenaar die werkt met kleurrijke, abstracte schilderijen. Haar inspiratie komt uit alledaagse momenten, dromen, herinneringen en observaties van haar omgeving. Ze benadert het schilderproces intuïtief en laat het beeld tijdens het maken ontstaan. Niet alles ligt vooraf vast; juist het experiment en de ontdekking spelen een belangrijke rol. Haar werk verbindt persoonlijke expressie met een sterke aandacht voor kleur en compositie en geeft de kijker ruimte om een eigen betekenis en verhaal in het beeld te vinden.
Jeanine Jordaan – Nederland
Jeanine Jordaan reist voortdurend naar de verste uithoeken van de wereld, letterlijk en in haar verbeelding. Dit vormt een belangrijke inspiratiebron en een manier om los te komen van ingesleten routines. De foto’s die ze onderweg maakt, vormen de basis voor nieuwe schetsen. Haar collages ontstaan door oude schilderijen en tekeningen te verknippen en opnieuw samen te voegen, waarbij oud en nieuw op onverwachte wijze samenkomen. Jordaan studeerde grafisch ontwerp aan Academie Minerva in Groningen en werkte jarenlang in de mode als stof- en artworkontwerper en als illustrator voor tijdschriften en kinderboeken. Na zes jaar in China vond ze haar weg terug naar Nederland, waar reizen, fotografie en beeldende kunst nu samenkomen in haar werk.
Gerard Veldman – Nederland
Gerard Veldman (1960) woont en werkt in Haarlem. Hij studeerde af aan Academie Minerva in Groningen en combineert zijn kunstenaarspraktijk met zijn werk als docent conceptuele ontwikkeling en art direction. In zijn schilderijen gebruikt hij beelden uit de hedendaagse beeldcultuur en plaatst die in een nieuwe context. Fotografie, film, muziek, architectuur, strips, games en media vormen belangrijke inspiratiebronnen. Door herkenbare beelden te verschuiven en te combineren, onderzoekt Veldman hoe we kijken en wat we als vertrouwd of vanzelfsprekend ervaren.

Kunst Centrum Haarlem at Art The Hague
At Art The Hague, Kunst Centrum Haarlem presents a distinctive selection of contemporary artists.
Since our beginnings as an art lending centre in 1971, we have worked from one belief: art is for everyone. That is why we look not only at established names, but also at emerging artists and makers with a distinctive visual language of their own. For Art The Hague, we bring together different generations and disciplines, from painting and photography to sculpture, ceramics and textiles. It is a presentation without a fixed signature, but with room for curiosity, quality and discovery.
Audrey Angel – France
Audrey Angel is a French multidisciplinary artist and photographer, born in 1969 in Thonon-les-Bains. With a background in applied arts and interior architecture, she works across photography, painting and design. Her carefully staged worlds feature miniature figures that tell stories about human relationships, choices and life. Her photographic tableaux combine a playful, almost cinematic visual language with close attention to detail. Words, emotions and short narratives add another layer to each composition, inviting the viewer to look more closely and discover their own interpretation.
Roos van Unen – The Netherlands
Ceramics play an important role in Roos van Unen’s work. Through material, Van Unen explores how we preserve and record personal and collective memories. Her works move between abstraction and recognisable figuration, with recurring characters such as rabbits playing an important role. Her sculptures appear as archaeological and dreamlike entities, questioning linear ideas of history and collective myths. Roos van Unen recently graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie and her work was selected for Sprouts Young Talents 2026.
Always Around – The Netherlands
Sanne Willemsen and Jasmijn Alles are the makers behind Always Around, a design studio they founded in 2025 out of a shared fascination with form, colour and the objects that shape everyday life. Sanne brings a background in interior design, with an eye for detail, material and image. Jasmijn works conceptually, moving from idea to object. Together they design timeless everyday objects for the home, with clean shapes, graphic details and a distinctive use of colour. Alongside Always Around, Sanne and Jasmijn also run ko-lab, a creative studio for brand identity, product design and art direction.
Maas van Duijnhoven – The Netherlands
Maas van Duijnhoven (2003) graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam in 2024. Since childhood, he has been fascinated by finding unusual objects in the streets, in nature and along the shore. This fascination forms the basis of his artistic practice. In his series The Findlings, he combines found objects from the same environment into new sculptures. By bringing everyday and discarded materials together, he gives them a new meaning. Collecting, play and curiosity are important elements in his work.
Kadae – The Netherlands
Kadae is a Dutch artist known for her colourful abstract paintings. Her inspiration comes from everyday moments, dreams, memories and observations of her surroundings. She approaches painting intuitively, allowing the image to develop during the process. Not everything is predetermined; experimentation and discovery play an important role in her work. Her paintings combine personal expression with a strong focus on colour and composition, leaving space for viewers to find their own meaning and story within the image.
Jeanine Jordaan – The Netherlands
Jeanine Jordaan is constantly travelling to the far corners of the world, literally and in her imagination. This is an important source of inspiration and a way to break free from ingrained routines. The photographs she takes along the way form the basis for new sketches. Her collages are created by cutting up old paintings and drawings and reassembling them, bringing old and new together in unexpected ways. Jordaan studied graphic design at Academie Minerva in Groningen and worked for years in fashion as a fabric and artwork designer, and as an illustrator for magazines and children’s books. After six years in China, she found her way back to the Netherlands, where travel, photography and visual art now come together in her work.
Gerard Veldman – The Netherlands
Gerard Veldman (1960) lives and works in Haarlem. He graduated from Academie Minerva in Groningen and combines his artistic practice with teaching conceptual development and art direction. His paintings draw on images from contemporary visual culture and place them in new contexts. Photography, film, music, architecture, comics, games and the media are important sources of inspiration. By shifting and combining familiar images, Veldman explores the way we look at the world and what we consider familiar or self-evident.
